Public Hearing On Proposed Wedding Venue In Charles County

LA PLATA, Md. – THE BOARD OF APPEALS FOR CHARLES COUNTY, MARYLAND has been petitioned by Teresita S. Cauterucci Trust, for approval of a Special Exception to develop a wedding/special event venue which falls under Use #4.01.400, as defined in § 297-212 of the Charles County Zoning Ordinance. The property is designated as Tax Map 86, Grid 9, Parcel 17, and consists of approximately 27.69 acres of land in the Agricultural Conservation (AC) Zone. The property is located at 14600 Banks O’Dee Road in Newburg, Maryland and is also known locally as the Amber View Vineyard which lies within the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area.

The Board of Appeals is hereby giving notice that a Public Hearing will be held on this matter Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in an in-person format only at the Charles County Government Building located at 200 Baltimore Street, La Plata, Maryland 20646.
