Waldorf, Md.— Charles County Sheriffs Office[CCSO] took to the St.Charles Mall to spread public awareness and also to present possible employment opportunities. CCSO had a two tables situated in the mall with booklets of information about the law agency.

In attendance at this event was Charles County Sheriff Troy Berry, Sgt. J.B. Burroughs, and also Officer T. Mason. Both officers provided patrons of the mall with information about CCSO mission statement.

“This is two fold were trying to recruit people, we have four dedicated officers letting the citizens know about employment opportunities at the sheriff’s office. Also I wanted to come to this assignment to interact with the public and also wish kids a successfully school years,” said Berry.

Burroughs was very excited to be at the mall discussing opportunities about CCSO with the public.

“This event is very important to us. We can only do so much without the involvement of the public. When you take a large area that may only have two officers covering that area, it is really the eyes and ears of the public that really help us out. The more the[public] interacts with us and the better our relationship is with them the better we can serve the community”, said Burroughs.

“We just want the community to know that we care about them,”said Berry.
