On Aug. 22 at about 3:45 p.m. a vehicle pursuit by police occurred in the Laurel Glen Shopping Center parking lot. According to sources, the chase was involved a 2008 Honda Acura.
An officer who was in the parking lot attempted to make contact with the suspects when they put their vehicle in reverse, striking another vehicle.
The officer then reportedly attempted to get in front of the vehicle. The suspects then allegedly attempted to run the officer over.
The pursuit ended in the parking lot moments later when the suspects crashed into a parked Honda Civic Del Sol.
One suspect fled on foot behind Kmart and two others remained in the vehicle. Police reported both suspects were taken into custody.
Stolen merchandise was reportedly found In the Honda Acura along with a shotgun and two rifles.
No injuries were reported.
