Savage, MD –ย The owner of the Rams Head Tavern in Savage MD has been charged for secretly videotaping women as they used the bathroom, according to police.
The suspect, identified as Kyle Muehlhauser, 37, of Severna Park, was arrested Feb. 19 and has been charged with six counts of visual surveillance with prurient intent, according to court records. Muehlhauser was released on a bond of $35,000 on Feb. 20.
The investigation began in May 2014 when a woman reported to police that a digital camera fell onto the floor next to her while she was using the bathroom, police say.
According to police the content of the camera revealed a man, later identified as Muehlhauser, placing the camera in the bathroom as well as six unknown women appearing on video.
Surveillance video was collected from the restaurant and the same man who was seen on the camera in the bathroom was identified as Muehlhauser.
Police received lab results confirming the DNA on the camera matched Muehlhauserโs DNA. He turned himself in to police on Feb. 19.
