My name is Jessica, I am writing to tell you the story of a five year old boy whose only wish is to be cancer free. In December 2008 Adam was diagnosed with Leukemia. Adam has spent most of his short life in and out of hospitals in treatment. Adams mother is a career paramedic in Maryland and his father a career firefighter in Virginia. Both his parents along with his siblings have fought through this with him. Recently the family was devastated to learn Adams leukemia had returned and is now in the Cerebral Spinal Fluid along with the lining of his brain. Adam is in desperate need of a marrow transplant and doctors say he needs to find a match within a month.
So I, on behalf of my lil cousin Adam and the rest of our family reach out to you the public to help find a match. To help save a little boyโs life! As the holiday quickly approaches what better gift to offer than the gift of life!!!
A marrow drive is scheduled Saturday December 1st from 10am to 2pm at the Mechanicsville Firehouse in Mechanicsville Maryland. A simple cheek swab and a few minutes of your time is all we ask for the gift of a lifetime! Baked goods will be on sale to help raise funds for the family!
Thank you all and Happy Holidays!!! Hope to see you there!
