Leonardtown, MD – Despite the gray skies Southern Marylanders who love their bluegrass gathered at St. Mary’s County Fairgrounds in Leonardtown for 10 hours of live music. The event was sponsored by the Hollywood Volunteer Rescue Squad.
Bands performing at the 2015 Hollywood Bluegrass Festival were Recycled Bluegrass, 15 Strings Band, Jay Armsworthy and Eastern Tradition, Danny Paisley and The Southern Grass, The Bluegrass Brothers, Charles Thompson and Bottom County Bluegrass and The California Ramblers. Four of the bands donated their time to aid the rescue squad in raising funds.
In addition to live music, a silent auction was held along with several raffle drawings. Twenty-five corporate sponsors—contributing in four tiers—also aided the rescue squad.
