SCOTLAND, Md. — Emergency units responded to a late evening accident that left one car in the woods. 

At approximately 9:21 p.m., on February 28, the fire and rescue personnel responded to the area of 11551 Point Lookout Road for reports of a vehicle which had crashed into a tree, with one patient still in the vehicle.

Upon arrival, units were able to remove the patient from the vehicle. Once the patient was accessed for injuries, it was determined no treatment was needed and signed care refusal forms on the scene.

The department was able to resume service by 9:45 p.m.
