At 12 p.m. April 21, Tfc R. Rezza responded to St. John’s Roadand Route 245, Hollywood, for a reported disturbance.
Upon arrival the victim stated that he inadvertently pulled onto St. John’s Road into the path of a black Nissan pickup truck.
The victim stated he pulled onto the shoulder and motioned to the driver that he was sorry for the error.
The driver of the pickup, John Keith Stewart, 31, of Lexington Park, pulled over and approached the victim’s vehicle.
When the victim would not exit his vehicle, Stewart punched the vehicle, causing damage.
Stewart was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Malicious Destruction of Property.
He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
