In a tough battle broadcast on Baynet Radio Tuesday night, Jan. 26, The St Marys Ryken boys knocked off Bishop McNamara 56-50. It was a close contest throughout with the Knights taking an 11-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 23-21 lead at halftime.
McNamara was led by Brandon Coleman in the paint with 12 points including three thundering dunks, and eight blocked shots.
The Mustang’s Player of the game was Marcus Thornton with 18 points. Ryken was led in the middle by their big man, 6 ft 10 Lazar Petrov who finished with 14 points 16 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. The Knight’s Papa John’s Player of The Game was Treveon Graham with 20 points.
