At 6:31 a.m. April 19, Bay District Volunteers responded to a vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of Chancellors Run Road and Buck Hewitt Road, reports Deputy Fire Chief Marvin Jones.
Apparently a passenger car collided with a school bus, and the school bus was off the side of the road when responded.
Arriving crews went to work stabilizing the passenger car school bus while part of the crew worked on patient care.
The school bus had only the driver aboard at the time of the crash.
The crew from Engine 92 removed the driver side door from the passenger car and both victims were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital.
Due to the amount of fluids along the roadway, State Highway was called to the scene.
Units cleared the scene at 8:07 a.m.
