A 7:08 a.m., On Jan. 8, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Leonardtown and Renner roads in Waldorf for the report of a school bus crash.
Investigation revealed a 2005 Dodge sedan driven by Austin C. Guagliardo, 18, of Waldorf, turned left onto
Leonardtown Road from Renner Road, failing to yield the right of way to Keller school bus #601, driven by Teba L. Coates, 26, of Waldorf, which was northbound on Leonardtown Road.
The Dodge struck the driver’s side of the bus, causing minor damage. The bus had 36 students onboard from Thomas Stone High School. The driver of the Dodge and his two passengers, a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl, both of Waldorf, are students at Thomas Stone High School and were on their way to the school.
No one was injured. Cpl. S. Burrows is investigating.
