Up to 10 people are dead in Santa Fe, Texas after a shooting at Santa Fe High School, police say. The suspected gunman in custody has been identified as 17-year-old Dimitrios Pagourtzis who is said to have attended the school. An 18-year-old who police believe to be an accomplice has also been detained.

Suspected explosive devices have been found at the school and surrounding areas. Police have urged residents not to touch anything that looks out of place while they try to render the devices safe.

Officials have confirmed that multiple people are dead and others are injured after a high school shooting Friday morning in Santa Fe, Texas. The suspected gunman has been arrested according to Santa Fe High School assistant principal Cris Richardson and a second person has also been detained according to the county sheriff. 


SANTA FE, Texas – Sources are reporting that there has been a high school shooting, Friday morning, May 18 in Santa Fe, Texas. Reports say that a gunman entered an art class in Santa Fe High School around 7:45 a.m. with what appeared to be a shotgun.

No casualties have been confirmed at this point but witnesses say they saw a girl shot in the leg. Police and emergency crews are at the school securing the scene. No further details are available at this time.
