oThe Charles County Association of Student Councils (CCASC) and Thomas Stone High School are hosting the 2010 Maryland Association of Student Councils (MASC) Legislative Session on Saturday, Jan. 30. ย
The event begins with registration and breakfast at 8 a.m., followed by opening activities at 9 a.m. Participants will receive reports from the State Student Board Member, and will be part of workshops about youth-related bills, lobbying and parliamentary procedures. ย
Students will also vote on two nominees to be considered for appointment by Gov. Martin OโMalley to serve on Marylandโs State Board of Education, and to determine MASCโs stand on youth related bills that will be lobbied on in weeks following the session. ย
The snow date for the event is Saturday, Feb. 13. Any changes related to the session will be posted on the MASC Web site at http://www.mdstudentcouncils.com/legsession10.
