LANCASTER, Pa. – Junior Luke Schwenk (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) was selected as the Atlantic East Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week for the fourth consecutive week as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon (Jan. 29). The league has given out this award 10 times this season and Schwenk has now won seven times.
Schwenk helped the St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s swim team to a pair of wins in their regular-season finale on January 27 at Hampden-Sydney College. The Seahawks posted a 117-70 victory over William Peace University as well as a 121-82 triumph over Hampden-Sydney.
The 6-2 captain was the Seahawk leader with two individual wins on the afternoon. Schwenk started with a win in the 50 SC meter freestyle in 23.55 before capturing the 100 SC meter freestyle in 52.66.
St. Mary’s College (11-6) will be training for the 2024 Atlantic East Conference Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships on Feb. 15-18 at the Aquatics Center on the St. Mary’s City campus. Click here to purchase tickets.
