On Sunday, May 17, 2015 at about 1:16 pm, there was a report of a house fire on Verda Lane in the garage.
As units arrived on the scene found smoke coming from the garage. The fire was quickly extinguished and he rest of the home was unharmed.
The cause of the fire is believed to be from a riding lawn that had just been parked in garage after cutting lawn.
No one was injured in the fire.
Some of the fire equipment responding to the call came from the Calvert County Fairgrounds as the County was celebrating “Appreciation Day” for all the Calvert County Volunteer Fire Members.
