Washington, DC –ย A U.S. Secret Service agent assigned to the White House, died Sunday, July 15 at a hospital in Glasgow, Scotland. Special Agent Nole Edward Remagen suffered a stroke while on duty Saturday evening, July 14. President Donald Trump and his entourage to Europe were visiting a golf resort at the time Remagen was stricken.
Remagen, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps prior to beginning his 19-year career with the Secret Service, was 42 and is survived by a wife and two children. His body was flown back to the U.S. President Trump met with Remagenโs family at Joint Base Andrews after the plane bearing the fallen agentโs body arrived back in the U.S.
โOur prayers are with Special Agent Remagenโs loved ones, including his wife and two young children,โ the president stated. โWe grieve with them and with his Secret Service colleagues, who have lost a friend and a brother.โ
Arrangements for Special Agent Nole Edward Remagen, who resided in Dunkirk, are being handled by Lee Funeral Home.
