LEONARDTOWN, Md. – The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is installing temporary cameras at the seven voting centers around the county to help ensure security at the poll on election day.

The Sheriff’s Office said it’s goal is to secure every person’s right to vote safely and without fear. The agency said it is proactively visiting voting centers and is on high alert for any reports of voter intimidation. 

Deputies have also performed premise checks at drop-off ballot boxes throughout the county. 

St. Mary’s County voters may cast their ballots in person on Tuesday, November 3 from 7 am to 8 pm at seven voting centers in the county.

Ballots can be dropped off at ballot boxes any time of day through November 3 at 8 pm. Ballot boxes are located at:

  • Leonardtown High School
  • Margaret Brent Middle School
  • Lexington Park Elementary School
  • Spring Ridge Middle School
  • Lettie Dent Elementary School
  • Old Board of Elections office on Tudor Hall Road
  •  New Board of Elections office on Hollywood Road in Leonardtown.
