WALDORF, Md. — One person was transported to the hospital Sunday morning after a two-vehicle crash that left one vehicle overturned on Bensville Road in Waldorf. Callers reported that one of the drivers had been operating recklessly in the moments leading up to the collision.

Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 11:12 a.m. on Feb. 15, 2026, to the 8400 block of Bensville Road for a reported motor vehicle collision with one vehicle overturned and an initial report of a trapped occupant.

Responders confirmed the driver of the overturned vehicle was no longer trapped but had sustained a shoulder injury and appeared shaken.

Fire and EMS personnel evaluated those involved at the scene. A 54-year-old man was transported to UM Charles Regional Medical Center with injuries described as non-life-threatening. The driver of the second vehicle declined medical treatment.

Crews remained on scene to secure the vehicles and clear debris from the roadway. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
