Dunkirk, MD – At 10:07 am, on December 14th, 2024, emergency units were dispatched to the 3800 block of E Larkview Ct. A 911 call was placed to report a shooting that had just occurred. Emergency units were informed that a female and male subject at the home were each suffering from a gunshot wound.
The suspect, a white male, was discovered lying in the backyard from a possible self-inflicted gunshot wound. Inside, a female subject was also discovered with a gunshot wound possibly to the wrist. Early reports indicate the male and female are married.
It is unclear the motive of the shooting. Early reports allege that the husband attempted to shoot himself, shot the wife instead and ultimately succeeded in shooting himself.
Both of the injured persons were transported via helicopter to the hospital. The BayNet will provide updates when they become available.
