On September 3, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Alcohol Enforcement Officer, Dfc. James Stone in cooperation with the SMCSO, C-Safe Officer, Corporal Robert Russell and assisted by the SMCSO Traffic Safety Officer; Corporal Michael Peacher conducted an enforcement operation in an effort to address loitering and public intoxication in Lexington Park. 

The following individuals were observed and arrested for consuming alcoholic beverages on a public sidewalk along South Coral Drive:
 
1.            Lawrence Maurice Anderson, 49 of no fixed address
2.            James Francis Darnell Butler, 47 of no fixed address
3.            Michael Donnall Brown, 43 of Lexington Park
4.            Rebecca Theresa Herbert, 50 of no fixed address
5.            April Jasmine Briscoe, 28 of no fixed address
 
The maximum penalty for consuming alcoholic beverages on a public sidewalk, if convicted, is punishable by up to five days incarceration.
