At 5:22 p.m. Friday, Dunkirk volunteer firefighters and rescue squads were alterted to a vehicle crash on Route 260 at Journey Drive. Eleven volunteers responded and arrived on the scene with three vehicles involved. Crews from Dunkirk quickly packaged the patients for transport while Engine 11 (North Beach) established a landing zone for a helicopter transport. Dunkirk units cleared the scene an hour later and responded on three more runs.
