LEONARDTOWN, MD – State Superintendent Dr. Karen Salmon has announced that Maryland public schools will be closed through May 15, 2020. In the interest of public health and safety, at this time, Kindergarten registration for the 2020-2021 school year is on hold.
When the Governor’s Executive Order allows schools and offices to reopen, there will be a follow up press release noting the dates, times, etc., that parents can go to their home school office to register.
Additional information will be communicated at a later date.
St. Mary’s County Public Schools (SMCPS) is in the process of renewing its textbook materials for Social Studies in grades 6, 7, 10, 11, and Advanced Placement Comparative Government and Advanced Placement Economics.

• Bedford, Freeman, and Worth’s Krugman’s Economics for the AP Course (Advanced Placement Economics)
