On Jan. 25, at 3:46 p.m., Richard James Rhodes, 37 of Leonardtown, was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. Rhodes was operating maroon GMC truck when he was stopped on St. Andrews Church Road south of Indian Bridge Road in Leonardtown for not being restrained by a seatbelt. A routine NCIC and MVA check revealed Rhodes had an open warrant through St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and his driving privileges are revoked in Maryland.
Rhodes was taken into custody and placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest revealed Rhodes was in possession of a blue/silver CDS smoking device containing marijuana, a plastic zip lock baggie containing marijuana and smoking screens.
Rhodes was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
