St. Maryโ€™s County Public Schools, in collaboration with the Patuxent Partnership, is pleased to offer the third annual summer Space Camp to be held at Great Mills High School.ย 

Two sessions are designed for students entering grades 4 – 6.ย  The students in these grades may attend a one-week session of their choice, choosing either July 20-24, or July 27-31.ย  Sessions will run from 9 a.m.to 3 p.m. each day.ย 

Two additional sessions will serve students entering grades 7 thru 9.ย  These one-week sessions will run July 20-24,(with an emphasis on Robotics) and July 27-31,ย (with an emphasis on Rocketry).ย  Students may choose one or both sessions.ย  Sessions will run from 9 a.m. toย 3 p.m. each day.ย 

These camps provide opportunities for students to participate in hands-on, minds-on activities in the areas of science, mathematics, technology, and engineering.ย  Students will explore topics such as Earth Science, Engineering, Rocketry, Space Citizenship, and Space Science through classroom activities as well as through authentic field experiences at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Goddard Space Center, and the National Air and Space Museum.
