On Nov. 22, 2008 at 12:44 a.m, Garrett Ignatius Bond, 21 of Mechanicsville, was arrested by Tpr. M. Pitcher for possession of marijuana.
Bond was operating a silver Toyota Corolla on westbound Colton Point Road in the area of Budds Creek Road, in Clements, when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit.
Contact was made with Bond and a strong odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Bond was found to be in possession of two partially burnt marijuana cigars, two green plastic bags containing marijuana and a purple cigar tube containing burnt marijuana.
Bond was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
