At 11:00 am on Monday, December 18, TFC Linger was patrolling on Mechanicsville Road in Mechanicsville when he observed a white pickup truck exceeding the post speed limit. A routine traffic stop was initiated.
Contact was made with the driver, Christopher George Hicks, 19, of Mechanicsville. Mr. Hicks was cited for exceeding the posted speed limit.
Further investigation revealed that Hicks was in possession of plastic bag of marijuana, he was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center in Leonardtown pending a bond review.
