St. Charles High School MCJROTC Cadet’s are selling $15 wreaths from Wreaths Across America to be laid at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham MD
The Wreaths Across America (WAA) MD Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery (MDCHVC) wreath laying event is on. The Leadership Team met via ZOOM call and here is what you need to know:
First only 5,200+\- sponsored wreaths will be delivered to MDCHVC, this means 18,800+\- veterans will NOT be remembered. Online credit cards are still being accepted at https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/22596

1. Masks are required. (it is considered a display of respect towards each other).
2. Maintain Social Distance from others.
3. Maximum of 250ppl or less are permitted on the grounds at any time.
4. The Administration Building is CLOSED, there are no restrooms or grave look-up. Please plan accordingly. https://gravelocator.cem.va.gov/
5. Traffic is ONE WAY in the cemetery.
6. Parking is limited. YELLOW CURBS are reserved for HANDICAP PARKING ONLY around the building.
7. Stay out of construction areas.
8. A pre-recorded Virtual REMEMBRANCE WREATH CEREMONY will be posted here on FB and the WAA MDCHVC website.
9. NO In-person ceremony.
10. Wreath distribution is every hour from 9am – 3pm by time slot.
11. Wreaths will be distributed in a drive through fashion. Please have your trunk or hatch open. Persons may NOT walk-up to distribution area.
12. ALL persons (children included) must register to participate at MDCHVC wreath laying on 12/19/2020. Register for a time slot between 9am – 3pm.
13. Please forward your WAA email confirmation receipt to waacheltenhamvacemetery@gmail.com.
14. Have your WAA email confirmation receipt with you for your sponsored grave specific wreath(s).
15. Please “SAY THEIR NAME” and then place the wreath.
16. Lay the wreath under the headstone, red bow is always at the top of wreath.
17. One wreath per headstone.
18. Star of David do not receive wreaths, a rock or a stone is desired.
19. Wreaths may not be taken from ceremony and placed elsewhere and considered property and intended display at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery.

On December 19, 2020 at 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, 2020, St Charles High School MCJROTC (MD0054P) will be helping Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Cheltenham to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes.
Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.
