St. Inigoes man arrested for assault, resisting arrest

LEONARDTOWN, Md. – On February 18, 2019, DFC. McClure responded to the 48400 block of Heritage Hill Lane in St. Inigoes for the reported assault. 

Investigation determined David Richard Speakman, age 24 of St. Inigoes, assaulted the victim by punching the victim repeatedly in the back, kicking, and strangling the victim.  Visible signs of injury were observed on the victim, and Speakman was arrested.  While being taken into custody, Speakman resisted, and tried to flee from officers while in handcuffs. 

Speakman was charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Resist/Interfere with Arrest, and Escape 2nd Degree.  CASE# 10222-19
