St. Mary’s College Men’s And Women’s Swimming Honored By CSCAA

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced the Fall Scholar All-America Team Awards Monday afternoon (Feb. 5) and the St. Mary’s College of Maryland men’s and women’s swim teams were two of the 783 teams recognized for their academic excellence during the Fall 2023 semester.

The women garnered their 12th Scholar All-America Team award while the men picked up their ninth during Head Coach Casey Brandt‘s eight-year tenure. To qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to exhibit exceptional grade point averages during the Fall 2023 semester.
 
The St. Mary’s College women posted a team grade-point average (GPA) of 3.29 while the Seahawk men tallied a 3.24 GPA during the Fall 2023 semester.
 
The Atlantic East Conference was represented on the men’s side by three member institutions – St. Mary’s College, Cabrini University (3.66 GPA), and Marymount (Va.) University (3.49 GPA). On the women’s side, the league representatives were the Seahawks, Cabrini (4.0 GPA), Marywood University (3.79), Gallaudet University (3.4), and Marymount (3.39).
