Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance
On March 11, 2011 at approximately 9:00 p.m. Cpl. Walker was patrolling Nicolet Park
in Lexington Park, Maryland. Nicolet Park closes at dusk and trespassing after the park
is closed is prohibited. Cpl. Walker observed a motor vehicle parked in the park in an
unlit area. Cpl. Walker contacted the driver of the vehicle Julie Louise McDevitt, 31 of
Lexington Park, Maryland. The vehicle was also occupied by Douglas Ray Fenwick 26
of Loveville, Maryland. Further investigation revealed Fenwick was wanted for failing to
appear in St. Maryโ€™s Circuit Court for non-support. Cpl. Walker asked Fenwick to step
from the vehicle. As Fenwick stepped from the vehicle Cpl. Walker observed a clear
plastic baggie of suspected marijuana lying on the passenger floor board. Fenwick was
arrested. Further investigation revealed McDevitt was also in possession of suspected
marijuana. Both Fenwick and McDevitt were charged with possession of a controlled
dangerous substance, suspected marijuana. Fenwick was also served with the open
warrant.

Violation of a Protective Order
On February 28, 2011 John Allen Combs, 38 of Lexington Park, Maryland was served
with a temporary protective order ordering that he have no contact by any means with
the petitioner of the order. The order did not expire until March 15, 2011. On March
11, 2011 Combs was incarcerated in the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center. Combs
attempted to mail a letter addressed to the petitioner of the protective order from the
detention center. Attempting to mail the letter to the petitioner was a violation of the
terms and conditions of the protective order. Combs was charged with violating the
conditions of a protective order. Deputy Flerlage was the arresting deputy.

Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance
On March 13, 2011 at approximately 10:30 p.m. deputies responded to the area of
Munley Lane in Lexington Park, Maryland for a report of an occupied suspicious vehicle.
The complainant believed the occupant was possibly engaged in controlled dangerous
substance activity. Deputy Hawks responded to investigation. As Deputy Hawks
approached the vehicle he could smell a strong odor of burnt marijuana. The driver
of the vehicle was identified as Kenneth nmn Griffin, 21 of Lexington Park, Maryland.
Deputy Hawks had Griffin step from the vehicle. As Griffin stepped from the vehicle
Deputy Hawks observed a partially burnt cigarette containing suspected marijuana in the ashtray. Further investigation revealed suspected marijuana concealed on Griffinโ€™s
person. Griffin was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous
substance, suspected marijuana.

Trespassing
On March 13, 2011 Deputy Nielson was patrolling the area of Millison Plaza in
Lexington Park, Maryland when he observed Sheila Christine Vernon, 42 of no fixed
address on the property of Millison Plaza. Sheila Vernon had been served with a notice
not to trespass on the property of Millison Plaza on June 3, 2010. Vernon was arrested
and charged with trespassing.
