ST. MARY’S COUNTY, Md. – Elisabeth Lyautey, a dedicated advocate for women’s empowerment and family well-being, has announced her bid to become the next Miss Maryland USA. With a compelling background as a single mother, entrepreneur, and childcare provider, Elisabeth brings a message of resilience, determination, and community support to her campaign.

Elisabeth’s journey began in Rochester, New York, where she grew up with her family. Driven by her passion for nurturing young minds and focus on early childhood development, she attended and graduated from the College of Southern Maryland in 2021 with a degree in child development. She is currently enrolled at the University of Maryland

Eastern Shore, working toward her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
In 2019, Elisabeth opened the Foundation Learning Center in Lexington Park, Maryland. Her goal is to provide quality childcare services while empowering families in her community. Her dedication and commitment to excellence have earned her recognition, including proclamations from the County Commissioners of St. Mary’s County for her business success and vitality to the community. She has been honored with the Maryland Commerce Award for operating a quality childcare facility in Maryland.

Elisabeth’s platform for the Miss Maryland USA competition is centered around empowering women and families to overcome challenges and achieve their dreams. Through her experiences as a single mother and entrepreneur, Elisabeth understands the importance of resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity.

Elisabeth wants to inspire women to find their inner strength and resilience, especially those facing domestic violence or emotional abuse. She advocates for breaking the cycle of abuse and providing support services for women to reclaim their independence.

As a self-made entrepreneur, she encourages women to pursue their ambitions fearlessly and embrace opportunities for self-education and growth. She celebrates the multifaceted nature of women and advocates for building supportive networks to uplift and empower each other.

Elisabeth’s platform also focuses on empowering single mothers and creating job opportunities in childcare. Through mentorship programs and resources tailored to single mothers, she aims to support moms in pursuing their dreams while promoting authenticity and genuine connections within the community.
