LEONARDTOWN, MD – Superintendent of Schools, Mr. J. Scott Smith, announces the administrative appointments made by the Board of Education at its meeting of June 14, 2017.
The Board appointed Ms. Lindsay Brenfleck as Assistant Principal, 11 month, at Spring Ridge Middle School. Ms. Brenfleck holds a Master’s degree from Towson University and a Bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University. She currently serves as an Instructional Resource Teacher at Spring Ridge Middle School.
Mr. BeeJay Dothard has been appointed as Academic Dean at Fairlead Academy I. Mr. Dothard holds a Master’s degree from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, and a Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University. Mr. Dothard currently serves as the Acting Academic Dean at Fairlead Academy I.
Mr. Michael Watson has been appointed as Administrative and Accountability Officer in the Office of the Deputy Superintendent. Mr. Watson holds a Master’s degree from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, and a Bachelor’s degree from Waynesburg University. Mr. Watson currently serves as the Principal of Leonardtown High School.
An addendum to the Superintendent’s contract has been approved by the Board of Education.
Ms. Brenfleck’s appointment becomes effective Wednesday, August 2, 2017.
Mr. Dothard’s appointment becomes effective Monday, July 3, 2017.
Mr. Watson’s appointment becomes effective Monday, July 24, 2017.
