Today Mark Tippett would be 46 years old. But on September 3, 2006 Mark disappeared from his Lexington Park home (initial release here). He is still a missing person, although his sister Sherry suspects foul play (see her interview from the time of Mark’s disappearance here).

Sherry Tippett has offered a $10,000 reward to anyone who can help her find her younger brother, but 18 months later there is still no resolution for the family.

One way in which Markโ€™s legacy continues in St. Maryโ€™s is through his work in the Spyglass community. Recently Sherry received an award from owners of the Spyglass development, the AIMCO Service Managerโ€™s Award. It is an award that was to have been presented to Mark in 2006, detailing 19 innovative improvements Mark had made to Spyglass, above and beyond his normal duties. โ€œHe would have been so proud to receive this,โ€ said his sister Sherry. โ€œMany of the achievements listed in the award are improvements that Mark showed me personally.โ€

On a day that Mark Tippett should be celebrating his 46th, his family will remember him, but also struggle with unresolved questions. โ€œWe still have no body,โ€ Sherry told The Bay Net.

Anyone with any information about Markโ€™s disappearance is asked to contact the St. Maryโ€™s County Sheriffโ€™s Office at 301-475-4040.
