On Jan. 23, at 9:12 a.m., Derek Allen Miles, 32 of Waldorf, was arrested by Tpr. M. Pitcher for possession of marijuana.
Miles was operating a silver Honda Accord on Three Notch Road in Hollywood when it was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit in the 42000 block of Clover Hill Road. Upon contact with Miles, a strong odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Miles was found to be in possession of 18 partially burnt marijuana cigarettes.
Miles was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
