ย On Dec. 17, Chopticon High School Asst. Principal Andrew McCarthy reported to SDFC Chad Hartzell he had received information regarding drug activity which led him to search a student.

ย The search by McCarthy revealed a cellular phone that had its internal parts removed for storage, a hollowed-out bible, a body spray can hollowed-out, and a metal tubular smoking device. Suspected marijuana was also recovered.

ย The student, 16, of Mechanicsville, was subsequently arrested.
