My children are too young to write this, but I think they share most of my sentiments.
Recently my wife quit her job so that she could devote more time to our children.ย She doesn’t just mother them, she sets an excellent example for them.
Mom is an excellent manager. She is able to get everyone’s schedules together for school, doctor’s and other activities and dove-tail them together with her own activities.
While doing all of this she responds to the daily issues that come up with 5 and 3 year-old with the most Christian attitude possible. She cooks, cleans and is able to socialize with the other moms in order to maintain some sanity.
As if her plate wasn’t full enough she continues to work outside the home as a Pampered Chef consultant.
The girls get involved in helping to unpack enough that our then two year-old was at the store with her mommy and saw a UPS truck drive by. She looked at her mom and said, “Momma, Pampered Chef truck.”ย
Mom is a great teacher. She helps our five year-old frequently with her reading and often reads to both girls before nap or bed time. She is constantly sneaking in lessons on math, reading, counting and colors when the girls hardly know it. Frequently our girls are mistaken for a year or two older because of their speech and demeanor.
Mom is a wonderful person to be with. She is caring, efficient and nurturing. I cannot think of anyone else I would want to be a mom for our kids.
