DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit obtained an arrest warrant for one of the suspects wanted in connection with a fatal shooting early Sunday morning.
The suspect is 22-year-old Raheem Hawkins-Boseman of Silver Spring. He’s charged with first degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of 27-year-old Jessica Somerville of Suitland. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On March 17, 2024, at approximately 2:15 am, officers responded to a shooting in the 5800 block of Silver Hill Road in the unincorporated section of District Heights. The victim was located outside in a parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound.
Earlier this week, detectives released surveillance video of Hawkins-Boseman and the second male suspect. In the video, they are seen inside of a fast food restaurant prior to the shooting which occurred a few minutes later in the parking lot. Investigators are working to locate the second suspect.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
