At 12:36 a.m. on Dec. 9, TFC Whipp was asked to check on the welfare of a person that had been parked at the Lusby FaStop forย several hours.ย 

Upon obtaining identification, it was learned that the man in the car was driving on a suspended license and was wanted on an open warrant by Maryland State Police for failing to appear in court on a traffic charge.ย Further investigation revealed that the tags displayed on the vehicle were registered to another vehicle.ย The driver, Paul William Barton, 46, of Lusby, was arrested at that time.ย 

Incident to arrest, several pieces ofย controlled dangerous substanceย paraphernalia were located in the vehicle.ย 

Mr. Barton was transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack and charged with possession of CDS paraphernalia and several traffic violations.ย  He was incarcerated in the CCDC pending a commissioner’s hearing.
