At 11:56 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, TFC Trossbach was patrolling the area of Cedar Lane Road in Leonardtown when he observed and stopped a Hummer H3 for suspicious activity.
Upon contact with the driver, Neal Nick Leva, 32 of Leonardtown, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath. Mr. Leva was arrested for DWI.
Search incident to arrest, a plastic pouch of marijuana was observed in the vehicle and both Mr. Neva and the passenger, Victor L. Thomas, Jr., 24 of Leonardtown were arrested for possession of marijuana. Both subjects were transported to St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a bond review.
