Lusby, MD – January 16, 2020 – Abby Joy Leach was born with Cerebrocostomandibular Syndrome. It’s an extremely rare disorder characterized by a small jaw, malformations of the roof of the mouth, improper positioning of the tongue, and abnormal development of the ribs. Only around 80 cases have been reported in medical literature.

Her family will be spending several months in New York City while Abby is being treated. A Bonfire t-shirt fundraiser was launched to help raise some funds and offset the costs of lodging and travel. So far, $1,062 has been raised.
