As a result of a dispute over money, on March 8, at approximately 8:30 pm, Jesse A. Ward, 17 years of age, from Solomons Maryland, fired a shotgun into an occupied residence on Queentree Road in Mechanicsville.
The intended target was not home at the time of the shooting.
Pursuant to the investigation detectives from the St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations arrested Ward on March 9th and charged him as an adult with Assault 1st Degree and Reckless Endangerment. He was incarcerated at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.
