On Dec. 7, at 3:06 p.m., TFC R. B. Rezza responded to a 911 broadcast regarding a Theft in Progress at the Family Dollar located at 40955 Merchants Lane in Leonardtown.
Upon arrival, contact was made with the male employee outside who advised there were two females inside the store which he observed placed items from the store in their handbags. As the suspects, Ariella Alysia Dellacqua, 18, and Ashley LeAnne Rison, 18 both of Mechanicsville, exited the store they were detained by TFC Rezza.
The stolen items were recovered from the suspect’s handbags and returned to the store employee. Both Dellacqua and Rison were issued Criminal Citations with Preliminary Inquiry dates set for Jan. 22, 2010 and released at the scene.
