On Oct. 18 at 5:34 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to McDaniel Road and Middletown Road in Waldorf for the report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.
Investigation revealed a 13-year-old Waldorf male was struck by a car as he attempted to cross the intersection on his bicycle. The driver of the vehicle, a 33-year-old Waldorf woman, was traveling north on McDaniel Road when she struck the youth. She stopped and rendered aide until emergency personnel arrived.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries.
