The Bead Boutique, located in the Prince Frederick Shopping Center at the intersection of Maryland Rt 2/4 and Duke St, has new store hours:ย  Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm, starting September 1.ย  The store will be closed Sundays and Labor Day.

In addition to the new store hours, the Bead Boutique is pleased to announce the arrival of over 100 new bead strands, supplementing hundreds of strands already in stock.ย  Bead Boutique store owner Tricia Darrow says, โ€œI am excited to have found a new supplier with even higher quality and lower prices.ย  While our prices are considered the best in Maryland, I am always looking for ways to improve our customersโ€™ shopping experience.ย ย  I have almost 1000 strands of beads to feed your creative imagination!โ€ย ย  The Bead Boutique is constantly getting new and different strands and is always willing to special order; โ€œAfter all, what are specialty stores for if not to give special service?โ€ย  notes Darrow.

The Boutique is now the largest bead specialty store in Southern Maryland thanks to a great customer base and word of mouth concerning the storeโ€™s customer service and Darrow enthusiastically shared the Bead Boutiqueโ€™s new line of lampwork large silver core beads at a fraction of the price offered at other places.ย  She explained a lot of jewelry and specialty stores carry a specific large silver core bead brand called Troll Beads.ย  While the Bead Boutique’s large silver core beads are not from that manufacturer, even a seasoned bead enthusiast would not be able to tell the difference between Troll and the beads carried in the Bead Boutique.

Darrow explained another nice feature of her Boutique is that a customer can see, feel, and know the quality of beads they are buying.ย ย  Using the web, a customer cannot handle the merchandise, doesn’t really know the quality of the merchandise, has to wait for the beads to be shipped and has to pay shipping costs in addition to bead costs.ย  โ€œMost web providers have no customer service department to help a first time or even a seasoned veteran beader with their projects, while the Bead Boutique offers free work table space and will assist customers as they assemble their projects at the store as soon as they make their purchase!โ€ adds Darrow.

Anyone who has not been in the store for several months is in for a pleasant surprise because the store has been redecorated and small niche items have been slowly but steadily expanded.

The Bead Boutique has all the supplies needed for an individual to craft their own unique jewelry and offers a wide variety of classes, both before and after shop hours.ย  Darrow says “I have added additional Intro to Beading Basics classes for beginners to be ready for the upcoming holiday season.”ย  Class offerings can easily be found on the store web site at www.mdbeadboutique.com.ย  For more information, contact the Bead Boutique at 410-535-6337.
