LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — It’s time to do the Time Warp again! The Newtowne Players are thrilled to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show with two special film screenings at Three Notch Theatre — October 31 at midnight and November 1 at 8:00 PM.

This outrageous, genre-bending film has captivated audiences since its 1975 release with its unforgettable songs, eccentric characters, and delightfully over-the-top energy. Join fellow fans for an immersive movie experience filled with audience participation, costumes, and interactive props — a perfect way to mark half a century of Rocky Horror madness.

In this beloved cult classic, sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), stranded during a storm, stumble upon the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry) — a “sweet transvestite” scientist. Their night spirals into chaos as they meet a houseful of wild characters, including a leather-clad biker (Meat Loaf) and a sinister butler (Richard O’Brien). Through rock anthems and outrageous dance numbers, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscle-bound man named “Rocky.”

Audience participation is highly encouraged! Fans are invited to dress as their favorite characters and join the fun. Official prop bags — including rice, newspaper, rubber glove, noisemaker, confetti, toilet paper, toast, party hat, and playing cards — will be available for purchase at the theatre for $10.

Adult General Admission: $20
