Bayfront Park, a public beach located in Chesapeake Beach, Calvert County, has been the location of 8 thefts from vehicles, from July 18-31.
The suspects are described as 19-22 year old males driving a 90’s model Ford F150 extended cab pick-up, light blue with a dent on the right side of the bed; the truck does not have a tailgate.
The suspects smash vehicle windows to steal purses that are left behind. They immediately take the victims’ credit cards and buy Play Station 3 gaming units and other high dollar items at Target Stores located in Prince George’s County and St Mary’s.
To date the total loss has been more than $16,000.
