SOUTHERN MARYLAND — Warmer weather is rolling in, and there is no shortage of things to do across the region this week. From spring markets, outdoor adventures and community festivals to live entertainment, Southern Maryland is giving everyone plenty of reasons to get out and enjoy it, with many events free to attend.

Highlights this week include Rebels and Redcoats bringing Revolutionary War excitement in St. Mary’s County, Open House at Camp St. Charles opening its grounds for families to explore summer possibilities, and spring markets popping up with local vendors, food and seasonal shopping.

Rebels & Redcoats: A Southern Maryland Revolutionary War Event on April 11–12 (10 a.m.–4 p.m.), at Piney Point Lighthouse Museum & Historic Park and St. George Island, St. Mary’s County, MD – Experience the Revolutionary War with live battle reenactments, period encampments, military demonstrations, live music, exhibits and family-friendly activities, including musket and cannon fire demonstrations and vendors throughout the day.
