At 9 p.m. on Aug. 7, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the report of an armed robbery.
Investigation revealed a 17-year-old Waldorf boy was walking in the 2000 block of St. Thomas Drive in Waldorf when three male suspects approached him and displayed a handgun.
One of the suspects punched the victim in his head. The victim fell to the ground and one of the suspects pointed a gun at him. After the victim emptied his pockets, one of the suspects struck the victim with the gun. The suspects stole the victim’s cell phone and glasses and fled.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated by Emergency Medical Services personnel.
The suspects are described only as black males. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-7777. Officer J. Walter is investigating.
