The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch tonight for much of Maryland, and all of Southern Maryland, effective until 3 a.m.
The National Weather Service is reporting that a cold front is moving in from the west tonight, bringing showers and scattered thunderstorms.
In addition to rainfall up to one inch, thunderstorms may produce locally damaging wind gusts and even the possibility of a tornado.
Flood warnings are in effect for Anne Arundel County and north.
The chance of rain tonight is 100 percent.
