At 10:44 a.m. Saturday, Bay District Volunteer firefighters were dispatched to Rolling Road in Town Creek for the reported electrical socket on fire.
Engine 91 responded shortly after dispatch to find heavy smoke showing, and quickly advanced an attack line into the structure.
Chief 3 (Wayne Johnson) arrived on scene moments later and established the Rolling Road Command.
Bay District Fire Sergeant Shawn Downs reports that interior crews found heavy fire conditions in a back bedroom extending into the hallway. After some quick work, the fire was deemed under control.
Engine 74 arrived and began to vent vertically. Water Supply 5 and Truck 7 assisted with salvage and overhaul, and volunteer ambulance crews stood by as a precaution. See more photos and video clips at Bay District VFD’s Web site.
